Broadmoor High coach Terrance Gillette figured his team wouldn’t make the girls basketball playoffs after losing a district playoff game to McKinley on Monday night.
Much to Gillette’s surprise, the Class 4A Bucs got in as a No. 31 seed. Others, like 3A West Feliciana, weren’t as lucky.
The stories of Broadmoor and West Feliciana were among those that unfolded as the Louisiana High School Athletic Association unveiled its first playoff pairings based on power ratings Tuesday. Playoff games begin Thursday.
