My 3 are
Markel Brown- athletic, great finisher at the rim, plays solid defense, good handles, and great instincts
Langston Galloway-solid jump shot, athletic, high basketball iq, team leader, highly skilled offensively
Brian Williams- athletic, very long defensively, versatility can play inside and out

Im not really sure about my top 3 picks but ill tell you this much. this kid from riverside Ricardo Gathers is the real deal. im already comparing him to a young dwight howard. i attended their first home game out in reserve where the whole town attended. the game was like a show. Rico had 3 dunks including 1 alley within the first minute of the game, he finished the first quarter with atleast 15 points. hes about 6"7 250 and could probably play nfl football right now lol. and the craziest part is, the kids 15 years old.

I will be coming out with player rankings the first week in December. I really like both of your thoughts. Definitely some talented players. I think you will both be surprised with some of the kids on my list. I am not sure of how many I will list but It will be a top 50 in the 2010 class for sure and top 25 in the junior class.

Rico is an awesome talent. He needs a lot of maturity before he can lead a team, CLA showed that. Right now he's not the best player on the team, but he is amazing to watch. It will make for a very interesting season for a great bunch of kids.

That is any kid that is a sophomore in HS. Derenbecker, Galloway and all the other seniors that are studs now needed a lot of maturity when they were that age too. Rico will get there. His best basketball is ahead of him. Right now RA's best player is Louis Dabney. Rico has the most potential but Dabney is going to be a very good player. He is strong, physical and can score. He is going to be a very good player.

I saw Reserve play twice last year early in the season once at CLA and once at the Woodlawn shootout. Both times I thought that Jenkins was there best player and leader. He can shoot and is quick on offense and defense.

Several players on Hosanna's team are very talented, Senior Justin Matthews Avg. Pt's. 25 double in rebounds each game. Senior D'Quincy McGuire Avg. Pt's 24 double in Asst. and high rebounds. Jr. Evan Lindsay Avg. 10 Pt's. leading rebounder and play maker. Record 11-4 and all four games was lost at the foul line. They will have a strong guard after the holidays who played with Family Christian Academy last year. His dad is the new head coach. Very good addition to an already good team.

Yes I know Jordan and D'Quincy and I know Ray too that played at FCA. I played for Steve Rachal at FCA, class of 2004. Both D'Quincy and Jordan are 2 of the top players in B and in Baton Rouge area for the small schools. Both can play college ball at some level.

After watching 3 games with Riverside. Darby at 6'2 appears to be quickly becoming the best sophomore on the Riverside team. Against Christian Life, He and Jenkins kept the game close while Rico had problems. Darby plays both end of the court and was relentless slows down.
Devonte Francis, another sophomore at Bossier, was the most impressive player on the court against Christian Life in the Shreveport tournament. Galloway, tourney MVP, eventually found his his spots and took over the game in the 2nd Half, but Francis was the key to Bossier keeping the game close. Last year in the state tourney he was the best defender on the court in the semi's and this year his quickness is translating to both ends, his is just too quick for the other point guards or shooting guards to handle on either end. Yes Dabney(not Darby)just helping you out is a hell of a player. Definitely the most improved on that team and most complete player right now. He will be giving defenses fits all year long and the next two years. He is very similar to Lacedarius Dunn.
Devonte Francis is an exceptional young talent as well. Small, crafty PG that can really fill it up and lock down. He is quick as a hiccup and very heady. Will be a very good player for Bossier during his career

Has anyone heard or seen the 6 foot 10 kid in Westlake? He is flying under the radar with averaging 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks per game. He has a great feel for the game and is a smart player.
